Get Skilled, Get Employed
Education is a stepping stone, but skill development is the bridge to employment. In today’s rapidly evolving job market, traditional education alone is not enough to secure sustainable livelihoods. Sama Foundation’s “Get Skilled, Get Employed” program equips youth, especially from underprivileged backgrounds, with essential 21st-century skills, practical training, and industry exposure to help them secure meaningful employment and economic independence.
Why We Do It?
India, one of the fastest-growing economies, has a vast working-age population expected to reach 1.48 billion by 2030. However, despite this demographic advantage, nearly 40% of people in India live on less than $1.25 a day. The lack of education and industry-relevant skills among youth has created significant barriers to employment, limiting their access to emerging job markets.
At the same time, industries struggle to find skilled talent, creating a paradox of unemployment amid rising job vacancies. Addressing urban poverty and employment challenges requires a holistic approach—bridging the gap between education and employability. SAMA Foundation is committed to empowering marginalized communities by equipping individuals with practical skills and industry connections to help them secure stable livelihoods.
